Yoora Lee is a Seoul-based painter whose practice centers on memory, nostalgia, and the slippage between still and moving images. Her distinctive technique—using oil on panel with layered brushstrokes that mimic VHS static and television scan lines—renders everyday scenes through a temporal haze, evoking the warmth and distortion of collective memory.
Lee has exhibited extensively including at Nicodim Gallery, Los Angeles; 1969 Gallery, New York; T293, Rome; and K11 Musea, Hong Kong. THAT Co. featured Lee in 2021.
