Yuri Yuan is a New York-based painter whose practice explores solitude, longing, and the psychological landscapes of the self. Her luminous, atmospheric canvases often depict solitary figures suspended in dreamlike interiors or nocturnal vistas—spaces where memory, imagination, and emotional distance converge. Through subtle shifts in light and gesture, she translates quiet introspection into spatial metaphor, inviting viewers into private worlds of reflection and resilience.
THAT Co. featured Yuan in 2022. She has presented solo exhibitions at Alexander Berggruen Gallery, New York, and Make Room Gallery, Los Angeles. Her work has been shown at art fairs including Frieze London, Art 021, Dallas Art Fair, and Art SG, and is held in major collections including Columbus Museum of Art and Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.
